Food and drink

Postby mavsgirl » Thu May 22, 2008 1:36 pm

I have just got back from the Dona Lola resort and have to comment on the restaurants etc. Since my last visit last year (when i did not enjoy it very much) i have to say that the quality and service is fantastic now. As i am in options i have been visiting Elmers Court which in my opinion is second to none but now, we all loved it so much at Dona Lola that we will be returning soon and using the Bar brass and Vista Mar restaurant rather than going off site so much. Also the refurbishments are beautiful! we stayed in an Elizabeth.

Just to re-iterate what mavsgirl wrote, not long back and really enjoyed the food at vista mar when we ate in.
Also tried the buffet place just outside for the first time ( always walked past it before) on a reccomendation from a couple at the poolside and must say i was very impressed.

For price and quality I couldn't fault it. The food was excellent and well cooked and presented, it was kept at a high temp and the chef came out every few minutes with a gauge to ensure they were all at the required temperature.

Highly recommended and we will certainly visit it again.

Just returned from our first visit to Dona Lola. We'd highly recommend the Far Isle restaurant which is about 300 yards up the coast towards Malaga. The restaurant is on the upper level and has unrestricted views over the sea which are fantastic. It’s worth booking in advance to secure one of the tables at the edge of the balcony. The food is excellent with special theme menus (fish, Indian, etc) several nights a week.
