Have you tried to sell your MacDonald timeshare?

Ebay

Postby FranB » Sun May 23, 2010 3:43 pm

Hello,

I am glad I found this website. I own one week at Barratt Leila Playa and am trying to sell or donate it. So far, everything has been unsuccessful. As for Ebay, twice I had people bidding, winning it and and then realizing it was a mistake... People don't read the ad and think it's just a one week vacation. I had to cancel their bid.
Does anybody has any suggestion? I reposted my ad again yesterday.
Thanks in advance,
Fran

Hi Fran

Welcome to the forum.

I can understand your frustration with Ebay. Unfortunately, some people don't read the full details of what you are selling.

Please feel free to put a link to your listing on Ebay on this site.

One thing to be wary of is companies who ask for an upfront fee to market your timeshare. In my own experience, they take your money and nothing happens. If you do put it up for resale through a reputable company, they normally would ask you what price you are looking for and then add their commission and market at the total price including the commission.

If you are not looking to recoup any money as your donation comment would suggest, it might be worth contacting Macdonalds and trying to appeal to their better nature and see if they will take it back from you. In our own case it did cost us a one off payment, but we felt it was worth it.

I hope the above is of some help to you.

Regards
