I thought I would share this cautionary tale with you all.
I have just returned from using my timeshare for the first time, and while there met a sales representative from MacDonalds who tired to sell me the Options package from MacDonalds. I had only agreed to meet with them to see an refurbished apartment.
When they first begin to describe how my week could be converted into points and therefore give me options to use different resorts, or get weekends away with MacDonalds hotels, its sounded brilliant, but after a good 30 - 45 mins of talking to me about it, the crunch came, how much it would be???
If they had told me the cost up front, I would not of wasted 30-45 mins of my precious holiday time listening, and even after I had said no, I still had to go to the sales office to be offered a slight better deal, plus a extra timeshare (why would I want to pay double maintenance, one week is enough) from the senior sales manager.
They weren't pushy, but I know next year, to politely say no, when answering the door to them.
