Energise the site

This site could be a lot better with a bit of zest from the participators- make a piont of leaving at least one message every time you are visiting the site- you may think its not all that interesting but you may be amazed at the interest-try it!

I agree with Kipper that we should try to contribute more.

I note that there are now new sections for recommendations around the resorts. How about one for Loch Rannoch? I haven't been there for a few years (apart from AGMs) but do we have to travel miles for a decent restaurant? Incidentally, are we barred from the on-site restaurant or are we now welcome there?

Best wishes to all comrades!

Many thanks for the suggestion Bernard. Now added. I missed it because I picked the resorts up from the Macdonald website

Forest Hills and other resorts

Postby kipper » Thu Oct 05, 2006 6:53 pm

I have been to 2 Macdonalds resorts this year - Elmers Court and Forest Hills ( I think the latter is now a silver crown) both were very nice indeed and full of very nice people. Its such a shame that thje options system used by Macdonalds has such a poor reputation - because now having seen the 2 resorts above and staying at my own resort (dona lola)and incidentally visiting another resort ( just to site see) they have so much going for them!Macdonalds seem to have shot thierselves in the foot with thier poor sales tactics- the Loch Rannock affair and the Options scheme - I think the beauty of thier resorts fortunately pulls them out of the mire!Listening to other owners on this site its a shame that they have had such bad experiences because I think the resorts are really good! Ps has Dona lola retained its Gold Crown?

seems to me that a new reader is faced with too many choices, may be a good time to reindex the messages into a quicker, shorter reference list. As a way to attract new readers maybe e mail ebay sellers so that they know this forum exists and may want to share the selling experience with all

Good idea. I have come back to this site after receiving my latest management fees. I am amazed how much they have gone up in the last 4 years. I know the pound against the euro hasnt helped but, we're considering selling our 2 weeks as a result.
Anyone else thinking similar thoughts........I dont need to ask ,just look at the timeshare Hypermarket website and see how many units they have up for sale

Hi Bluwes

Glad to see you back.

I am sure many people like you are looking to sell. It certainly seems to be a buyers market at the moment, the same as the UK property market

If you do decide to sell, you might as well put an ad on this site. You never know :)

Thanks, will bide my time at the moment. Not visiting our unit at the Doan Lola this year, week 29. We are letting friends who normally come with us have exclusive use of the apartment. We may use our February week for the first time, as we have always swapped with ICE for a cuise with Carnival and may give the cruise a miss this time around
